The historic town of Windsor in Berkshire, often referred to as Royal Windsor due to the dominance of the castle, is south of the River Thames but only 21 miles from London, three miles from Slough and Junction 6 of the M4 motorway.
Windsor has a history stretching back centuries with Windsor Castle, an official royal residence, attracting visitors from both the UK and overseas. The historic town has many gift shops and stylish shops as well as Daniels, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose. Windsor Safari Park is now the home of Legoland which attracts visitors of all ages. Windsor Bridge connects Windsor with Eton which is famous for its school.
